SQUAD NEWS: Jasper Joins Reds

Ryan Beswick has continued a flurry of signings for Quorn, inking central defender Jasper Tetlow after he impressed in preseason.

London born Jasper, currently working on his degree at Loughborough University, aims to become a fully qualified Financial Advisor, but before that, he’s focused on how far he go with the Reds. “The club had a great season last year, and it’s only natural that I want to be part of a squad that can go one step further and get promoted.”

Tetlow has been playing since the age of four, when his Father would take him to local football camps. At the age of eight Jasper was snapped up by Coventry City, spending two years with the Sky Blues before joining Leicester City’s Academy for six years. Two years with Lincoln City followed before he headed off to University at Loughborough.

Jasper played two seasons with the Scholars before heading out on placement last year, and spending the season with East Grinstead Town. Appearing 15 times for ‘The Wasps’ Tetlow thrived in his first taste of senior football. “I really enjoyed my first season in men’s football last year and wanted to continue that whilst completing my final year of studies at Loughborough.”

“I predominantly play at centre back, but last game of the season last year I played central midfield but that’s a rarity now. I prefer central defence as the whole game is in front of me and I can communicate to my team more effectively.”

Welcome to Farley Way Jasper.
