NEWS: Quorn Football Club Unveil New Badge

With the 2023/24 season coming to a close with Tuesdays playoff semi-final defeat, attentions have turned to 2024/25. Entering into their 100th year in existence, Quorn Football Club have unveiled a new badge, updating their identity and moving away from the old, outdated, club crest.

Club Secretary Adam Etheridge explained “There were several issues with the old design. Primarily the depiction of foxhunting, which, whilst we understand is part of the heritage of the village, turns off prospective supporters and sponsors. Furthermore, the badge itself gave no indication of who we are. It doesn’t feature a football in the design, it doesn’t mention the word football either.”

“We wanted to update our image, and correct these issues. Working with Happy Dog Marketing, we believe that we’ve found design that covers all of those bases, whilst also representing the village, and, just as importantly, the history of this tremendous football club.”

The new design has three distinct versions: a full-colour primary badge, along with black and white alternatives. This range of options ensures that the badge maintains its visibility and recognition across various formats and uses. Whether it's displayed on team kits, promotional materials, or digital platforms, each version of the badge stands out, maintaining the club's strong and recognisable identity in any context.

Our primary club badge is thoughtfully designed to reflect its deep local heritage and founding values. It features a striking colour palette of red, white, and black, and incorporates a distinctive millstone pattern, reminiscent of those historically found around the village of Quorn. This element not only honours the local culture but also anchors the club in its community.

Additionally, the badge proudly displays the Methodist symbol, paying homage to the club's original founders and its nickname, "The Methodists." This symbol serves as a reminder of the club’s roots, enhancing its identity and connection with fans and the broader community.

Creative Director at Happy Dog Marketing, Rob Baker, added "As a lifelong football fan, I've been thrilled to have the opportunity to be involved with Quorn FC. When Adam approached us with the project to modernise the club's badge, everyone at Happy Dog was immediately enthusiastic and excited to get to work. We are immensely proud to sponsor the club and wholeheartedly wish them continued success both on and off the pitch."

Etheridge noted “It’s been an absolute pleasure to work with Happy Dog. They’ve been so collaborative and helpful throughout the process, and have delivered a stunning design that we’ll be proud to wear next season and beyond. We’re also delighted that they’ve agreed to sponsor us for the season and think fans will love their board when it’s installed at the ground in the coming weeks.
