NEWS: Midlands Division Line-Up Announced

The Football Association announced the 2024/25 season National League System Club allocations this afternoon. The Pitching In Northern Premier League Midlands Division sees numerous changes from last year.

 

Five teams have left the division, two were promoted, Spalding United as champions and Harborough Town through the playoffs, Gresley Rovers finished bottom and were relegated, Loughborough Dynamo took voluntary relegation and Cambridge City were moved laterally to the Isthmian League North.

 

With the expansion to 22 teams, seven teams have been drafted in to replace those departing sides. A lateral move sees Grantham Town join us from the NPL East, and Long Eaton United drop back down from the Southern League Premier Central. Five teams have been promoted to the division.

 

United Counties League Premier Division South winners Wellingborough Town are joined by that divisions playoff winers Racing Club Warwick. The UCL North playoff winners, who beat Skegness Town 7-0 in the final, are familiar foes Loughborough Students. Worcester City come up as Champions of the Hellenic League Premier Division and, after finishing third in the Midland Football League Premier Division, Darlaston Town complete the picture after winning the playoffs.

 

Fixtures are expected to be released sometime in July, with the League beginning on the 10th of August 2024. Quorn Football Club anticipate that they will begin the season on the 3rd of August in the Extra-Preliminary Round of The Emirates FA Cup. Keep an eye on the website for further details.
