NEWS: Coalville Town Friendly Announced

NB: With the recent news that Coalville Town have folded their men’s team, this fixture will no longer go ahead. We hope to announce a new opponent shortly.

The Reds have continued to work on their preseason schedule, announcing a third match at Farley Way.

Coalville Town will visit Farley Way on Tuesday the 9th of July (19:45 KO) as they begin preparations for another season at step three. 2023/24 was somewhat of a down year for the Ravens, by their own very high standards, finishing 11th in the Southern League Premier Central Division.

Former Barwell Manager, Ian King, took charge at the Owen Street Sports Ground in mid-February, but couldn’t revive the Ravens season enough to challenge for the playoffs. No doubt Coalville will be looking to get back in the top five next season, so should present a formidable test for Ryan Beswick’s side.

The two sides met in preseason last year, with the Ravens coming back from an early 2-0 deficit to secure a 3-3 draw.

Nuneaton Town (H) – Tuesday the 2nd of July 2024 (19:45 KO)

Ashby Ivanhoe (H) – Saturday the 6th of July 2024 (14:00 KO)
