FIXTURE NEWS: Melton Town Friendly Announced

Quorn Football Club have announced their first away game of the preseason calendar, a trip to Melton Town. The Reds haven’t visited Sign Right Park since December 2022, when the two sides played out an 11 goal thriller on a Friday evening.

Despite having a man sent off, an Ant Carney hat-trick had kept Quorn in the match, and Paddy Webb levelled the tie at 4-4 with a little over 10 minutes to play. However, the hosts made the most of the numerical advantage, scoring three times to win 7-4. The return match, on the first of April 2023 saw a 1-1 draw, as Melton scored late again, snatching a point at Farley Way.

The friendly at Melton Sports Village will take place on Tuesday the 16th of July (19:45 KO).

The complete preseason schedule announced so far is:

Nuneaton Town (H) – Tuesday the 2nd of July 2024 (19:45 KO)

Alvechurch (H) – Saturday the 6th of July 2024 (14:00 KO)

Melton Town (A) – Tuesday the 16th of July 2024 (19:45 KO)
